Before teaching at French language camp in France, Giselle and son
Daniel, age 19, bravely leave for Saudi Arabia, after finally
receiving multiple entry visas one week before departure. Giselle's
twin sister, Beth, has lived in Saudi Arabia with her Saudi husband
and five children over 18 years. This is our first trip to visit
Beth and her home. Beth often comes to France and the U.S. This was
our chance to see how Beth lives and visit a part of the world most
people are not permitted to go. Saudi Arabia grants visas only to
immediate family members, government officials and certain
pilgrimage groups to Mecca and Medina.
We found
the Middle eastern culture fascinating and felt at ease due to the
astounding generosity and warmth of family, friends, and people
encountered. The food was also great.
Temperatures varied from 110° F - 130° F.
Enjoy the
photos and feel free to contact Giselle with any questions. She will
never forget this trip!
